SignDarpan — Contribute signs

What this is

SignDarpan teaches Indian Sign Language with videos of real Deaf signers. Right now it covers 262 signs. Your recordings help in two ways:

Growing the free ISL dataset — more examples of each sign, from more people, make the coaching fairer and more accurate for everyone.
Future expert references — recordings from Deaf signers and ISL teachers can become new reference material the app checks learners against.

Your privacy

Everything you record is stored privately. Nothing is published. The project owner reviews every contribution before it can be used for anything, and only what you consented to is ever used. By default we save only keypoints — stick-figure coordinates of your hands and body, not a picture of you. Real video is saved only if you switch it on yourself.

Consent — please read each line

I am 18 or older (or I am the project owner). I consent to my recording — keypoints and, if I enable it below, video — being stored privately for SignDarpan research and dataset building. It will be reviewed by the project owner before any use and will not be made public.

Who is signing? *

Name for public credit (optional) Only used if you want to be thanked by name on the site one day. Never required.

Also save my real video (off by default). Video shows your face. If this stays off, only stick-figure keypoints leave your device — no pictures of you at all.
